Be a Facilitator

As a facilitator, you'll

• Guide, not lecture. Facilitating is different from teaching — rather than convey your own knowledge, the goal is to help participants articulate their thoughts through a collaborative, active learning process.
• Build real skills. It's a great opportunity to develop your leadership and teaching skills, and to gain experience mediating and communicating across people from different backgrounds.
• Bring relevant experience. Ideal candidates have significant interest or experience in AI and animal advocacy (ideally both), plus prior experience facilitating, teaching, or mentoring (e.g. with BlueDot Impact, EA Fellowships, or other programs).
• Apply even if you're unsure. Just as our fellows come from a variety of backgrounds, so should our facilitators — we encourage you to apply anyway.
